    You are invited to be part of a small group (up to 15 people) in a beautiful, healing space for the weekend.

     

    The daily rhythm and pace of the retreat are a big part of the medicine with morning silence, breathwork, meditations and yoga practices. During the retreat, we align with the Ayurvedic principles of “dinacharya” (circadian and biorhythms). Dinacharya literally means, “to flow with the intelligence of the day”. Your meals are also designed to support your digestion. Each dish has been carefully selected in order to work with the Ayurvedic principles of digestive health (“agni”) which means we align meals and dishes with the time of day and season.

     

    The aim of the retreat is to create space for true self-care and self-love. It is a time to embrace nature and celebrate your life - enjoy the fresh air, breathe, walk, dance, laugh, hug a tree or two, sit by the fire, feel the elements and find stillness, joy and peace.

     

    Come unplug, rest, dance, laugh and explore what lies within you, beyond your current daily routines and responsibilities.

     

     
     

    WHY ALCHEMY?

    Alchemy is the process of transformation and according to the esoteric tradition, this process takes place on energetic and cellular levels. This weekend retreat is designed to help restore the natural balance in your body, mind & soul, as well as facilitate a transformative process. 

     

    The retreat offers you an opportunity to reconnect to your inner being through self-love and relaxation and to deeply connect to yourself, nature and other participants in a very nourishing, joyful and inspiring way.

     

     

    VENUE

     

    Golden Grove Retreat & Spa is 10 acres of beautiful, secluded, organic land and includes the main house, separate barns and two safari lodges both with stunning views. It is located in Carmarthenshire, South Wales, just over an hour drive away from Cardiff, 40 minutes away from Swansea and under 2 hours away from Bristol. It is within easy reach from London.

     

    The Main House offers a huge kitchen diner, hot tub, large patio and firepit. The outside barns include the magical Sauna Barn with sauna, plunge pool, outside covered relaxation area and a peaceful view of the wild pond area with night lighting.

     

    The Luxury Safari Lodge is located in a stunning wild field with perfect views. It includes kitchen, lounge with a wood burner, dining room and outside decking. The lodge has an outside bathroom with a shower and it’s own outdoor fire pit.

    4pm - Arrive & settle

     

    4:30pm - Tea & Logistics. Introducing theme for the weekend

     

    5:00 - 6:15pm - Grounding Yoga Flow with Intention Setting + Breath Work & Meditation

     

    6:30pm - DINNER

     

    7:30-9pm - Evening Sharing Circle, Kirtan/Mantra practice + Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation)

     

    9pm - Early bed or use of Spa Facilities.

    11-12:00 - Osho inspired Kundalini Meditation Practice

     

    12:30 - LUNCH, practice of Mindful Eating

     

    1:30-3pm - Forest Bathing or walk, rest, journal, read, use Spa facilities

     

    3-4pm - Talk on Yogic Philosophy: Mind, Body, Soul Alchemy

     

    4-5:30pm - chai and/or fire ceremony followed by Ecstatic Dance

     

    6pm - DINNER

     

    7:30-8:30pm - gentle yoga practice for digestion + yoga nidra for sleep

     

    8:30-9pm - evening tea/ayurvedic night time drink

    Afternoon: you are welcome to stay to enjoy the surroundings, walk, read, rest before you journey back.

     

     

    FOOD

     

    I have carefully created the daily routine and meal times for the retreat to align with and support the natural bio-rhythms of the body and nature. Aligning with the bio-rhythm (nature’s flow of the day) will enhance your wellness and experience during this weekend. This is a key part of Ayurveda’s approach to cultivating daily health and vitality physically and emotionally. 

     

    Ayurveda is very specific about keeping your digestion happy. This also means eating fresh, seasonal, easy to digest (gently cooked, not raw) food. The menu is thoughtfully designed to support your digestive capacity (known as “agni”) which is essential to helping you feel better.

     

    WE USE home grown veggies or nearly all organic produce from within a 15 mile radius where possible. All food is VEGETARIAN & mostly WHEAT FREE.

     

    We DO NOT USE onions, garlic and nightshades (tomatoes, aubergine, white potato, bell peppers as these can aggravate inflammation in the gut and system overall).

     

    We DO NOT use any REFINED SUGAR- only natural sweeteners like dates, raw honey, maple syrup & jaggery.

     

    Meals include: a light breakfast, main meal in the middle of the day (best time for digestion) and a lighter evening meal.

    Please note - no alcohol is served at the retreat!
