  • DIET & LIFESTYLE COACHING PROGRAMME

The Western approach to treatment continues to promote a 'quick fix' in the form of medication to treat the symptoms and, in the process, creating side effects that require more medication to alleviate - it clearly divides the health from the disease. On the other hand, the Eastern approach, through sciences such as Ayurveda and Yoga, considers health as a balanced state versus disease as an unbalanced state. Though this may be an unfamiliar concept to those who have never looked into Eastern philosophies for answers, one does not have to be an expert in the field to benefit from what Yoga and Ayurveda have to offer.

Based on my knowledge of Ayurveda and Yoga practice, as well as two decades worth of experience in helping clients change their lifestyle, I have created a system that provides a high standard of coaching and support to suit your personal needs. My intention is to help you learn the skills and techniques necessary to enjoy your life to the fullest, create work-life balance, whilst also taking care of your health and wellbeing.

Together, we will create a new balanced diet and lifestyle that perfectly fits you.

Oxana is amazing! The coaching, guidance and advice I have received from her have been life-changing. In my consultation session with Oxana I explained the issues I was having with my chronic IBS and perimenopausal symptoms, she immediately put me at my ease and listened to me, I felt confident for the first time in long while that I could actually start to feel better by following an Ayurvedic holistic approach. As a full time working mum, I was worried about managing a 4-week programme especially as I was working at home and homeschooling with the Covid-19 pandemic. I didn’t need to be, Oxana provided me with shopping lists, recipes, weekly plans with a clear structured approach to my day which was invaluable in enabling me to stick to the plan and work around my family.

  • The changes to food I expected, but the surprise element for me was the self-care practices, not something that I have ever been very good at! Oxana explained that this was part of Ayurvedic way and prescribed massaging with oil, yoga, meditation and provided me with support and direction that meant that encouraged me to take that bit of time for myself. I have completely adopted all these practices now and found them so balancing and grounding that I am not sure how I was managing before!

Oxana was always available for advice and no question was silly, our weekly calls became really important anchor points to reflect on the previous week and discuss the coming week and the plan. I can’t recommend Oxana enough, by the end of the first week my digestion and IBS has improved hugely and by the end of the programme I was symptom-free for the first time in decades, my mind was clear my mood was lighter and I had more energy. I have left the programme armed with the knowledge and understanding of what to do if I need to regain my balance again, of what to do to maintain my balance and with practices that mean I take that extra 15 -30 mins a day just for me.

The first consultation with Oxana was comprehensive and holistic. Oxana is really easy to talk to and a good listener, so I felt confident starting on a 4-week plan that was personalized and specific to what I wanted to achieve. Armed with recipe suggestions and a routine for my day, within 2 weeks I had lost weight and my digestion was hugely improved. I was sleeping through the night for 8 hours and managing stress better. By the end of 4 weeks, I'd had my first pain free period in months and had tools and tips - covering specific massage points, yoga and diet - to keep using.

It was definitely a commitment and I had to make some changes. It helped that Oxana provided support throughout and adapted my programme to find things that would work for me. I didn't miss anything I cut out of my diet, because there were lots of new things to try. I'll definitely incorporate what I've learnt into my routine and diet from now on."

"If you told me two months ago that I will not have meat or wine for a month I wouldn’t believe you but during this experience, I've learnt a lot about Ayurveda, about the human body and about myself. I learnt a lot about nutrition and about a balance of body and mind.

More than anything, this experience had taught me to be mindful of what I put into my body and how to nourish it. I am very grateful to Oxana for her support and help. She was with me throughout the whole process - I've never felt alone. Oxana kept me sane and motivated with new information, recipes and reminders of the benefits of the treatment. Trust me when I say it - you will feel great - your body, mind and your skin will feel 100% better."

  • My Journey to Balance

Trust me - I have been where you are! Six years ago I have found myself in the midst of personal crisis - burned out, stressed, unhappy and unhealthy. I was battling addictions - to work, wine, cigarettes, shopping, food - all the things that would give me immediate gratification but inevitably leave me empty in the long run. Finally, this lifestyle led me to a complete breakdown, both physically and mentally, and forced me to stop and re-evaluate my life.

Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a teenager but more as an on/off hobby rather than a discipline. However, at that particular point in my life, it became my refuge. Within weeks of integrating a consistent yoga practice into my daily routine, my mood began to improve. Within months I no longer had the need to smoke and drink alcohol to have fun or soothe myself. I've become a vegetarian and cut all junk and processed food out of my diet. My health improved.

Fast forward 3 years and I have completed my second Yoga Teacher Training Course, let go of a career that was no longer lighting me up, and was teaching yoga full time. However, something was missing. Despite all the improvements that have already taken place I've continued to struggle with fibromyalgia symptoms, digestive issues and fatigue. That's when I found Ayurveda - or rather, it found me! Fascinated by what this 5,000 years old science has to offer to the modern world, I've embarked on a year-long study of Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle principles. These are the principles that form the basis of Ayurvedic treatment and have the potential to activate the body's innate ability to heal itself and prevent the development of future illness.

I would love to say that everything was easy and perfect after that but life is not that simple. Between 2017 and 2020, I had to temporarily put my teaching on hold and return to my previous career which involved working 9 to 5 in a busy and stressful environment. That's how I really got to test all that I learned! I realised that in order for me to maintain good health and a calm mind for the duration of that time, I needed to work on creating balance in my life. Blessed with the knowledge of yoga and Ayurveda, especially in relation to integrating daily routine, suitable diet and appropriate daily yoga practices, I had to find ways in which I could apply this knowledge in a balanced and methodical way, sensitive to my situation, my work schedule and the state of my health.

My personal experience and findings in the last 6 years, together with the knowledge that I have acquired from my extensive studies, all form the basis of my Diet & Lifestyle Coaching Programme. My methodology is about taking centuries-old wisdom and modifying it in the way that it is accessible and applicable to the modern world. It is about the individualistic approach to change, based on Your health, Your personality, Your work and Your personal circumstances.
