• My Story

I was born and raised in former Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan. I was just coming up to my teenage years when the great reform, Perestroika, had taken place there. In 1991, I moved to Russia to study music at the State Conservatoire in the Ural Mountains. It is here that I was first introduced to yoga, initially via the study of Theosophy and Agni Yoga through metaphysical and occult teachings of Nicholas Roerich and Helena Blavatskaya.

I’ve studied psychology as part of my degree in Community Justice, which lead me to a professional career in the UK Justice Sector – supporting people through challenges and helping them facilitate change, for nearly two decades. In 2013 I began to delve deeper into the teachings of yoga. This was the beginning of my awakening that resulted in a complete change of lifestyle and direction in life. It was through the teachings of yoga and Ayurveda, and through my daily practice, that I began to really understand how to be in alignment; relating to my emotions, my mind and my struggles in the most resilient and expanding way. Paradoxically, this journey did not feel new but was, and still is, a path back to spirituality that I believe is the true nature of each and every one of us.

I am a qualified Yoga and Meditation Teacher and a Qualified Yoga Nidra Facilitator. I am also a Certified Ayurvedic Diet & Lifestyle Consultant, having completed a CMA Accredited Ayurveda Training at the Ayurveda Pura Academy in London. Sharing these teachings has been one of the most profound experiences of my life.
